Planning for our youth & children

We value the children of our church, and we are committed to building sustainable youth and children’s ministries that are going to have a deep impact. We have an exciting partnership with Ministry Architects, a leading consulting firm, to help us develop these important ministries.

On Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15, Ministry Architects listened to more than 120 people in confidential groups. They spoke with parents, youth, children and youth volunteers, staff, vestry and parishioners who are vested in our church’s future. The listening sessions were a big success! Of the nearly 800 churches Ministry Architects has worked with, our sessions were one of the top 3 most well-attended!

On May 16, Ministry Architects shared with the parish what they’ve heard about the youth and children’s ministries – including assets, challenges, how we compare to children’s ministries around the country, and a blueprint for moving forward.

Over the next 18 months, Ministry Architects will work with a group of lay leaders, the Renovation Team, to develop and implement a plan for our children and youth programming. A specific timeline is outlined in the report linked above.
