Wednesdays in Lent
Help plan and lead a 1-hour adult or children’s program for this series or help cook a light soup and salad dinner offered before the program.

Write a short, daily devotion to be used in our annual Lenten emails.

St. Mark’s Teaching Series
Help plan and host this annual weekend event to draw well-recognized preachers and theologians to St. Mark’s.

Children

Baptism Banners
Sew and paint banners for children who are baptized at St. Mark’s.

Children’s Chapel Leaders
Conduct a short children’s worship service for potty-trained 3 year-olds to 2nd grade during Sunday services.

Godly Play
Teach potty-trained 3-year-olds through 2nd grade the art of using religious language - parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action - to become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence. Act as a storyteller, craft leader, snack leader or shepherd. Godly Play is taught on Sundays from 10-10:50 a.m. during the school year (September – May).

Discovery Class
Help lead 3rd graders in this class focusing on teaching the Sacraments and rituals we observe as Episcopalians in a fun, interactive way. Class also includes service projects and weekly prayer requests. Discovery Class is taught on Sundays from 10-10:50 a.m. during the school year (September – May).

Boys and Girls Breakfast Clubs
Help lead these fun clubs of 4th, 5th and 6th graders designed to encourage them to apply lessons learned from the Bible into daily life. These clubs also participate in service projects, field trips and parties. Breakfast Clubs occur from 10-10:50 a.m. during the school year (September – May).

Vacation Bible School
Help plan, teach and/or host this weeklong event in July for children from potty-trained 3’s through rising 4th grade.

Youth

Confirmation
Help lead table discussion or chaperone a service project with the confirmands.
10– 10:50 a.m., Sundays September – April

Senior High Sunday School, 9th – 12th Grades
Help lead a fun, discussion-filled class that examines music, movies, news, and current events through a Biblical lens.

EYC Leaders
Facilitate Bible lessons, games and worship, and mentor 6th through 12th graders at weekly Sunday night EYC, weekend trips and other youth group activities.
5-7 p.m. for Junior High or 6-8 p.m. for Senior High

EYC Dinners
Help plan and cook a Sunday dinner for EYC; or help organize and recruit Sunday dinner volunteers.
