Located in historic Ortega, St. Mark's Episcopal Church is a neighborhood parish blessed with a large and beautiful campus canopied by oak trees within eyesight of the St. Johns River. Since our beginnings in 1922, we've grown to more than 1500 members with a vision “to be a vibrant and thriving parish where Christ’s loving Spirit radiates to all generations in our community.”

As one of the larger churches in the Diocese of Florida, St. Mark's offers Gospel-centered preaching with both traditional and contemporary worship grounded in the Book of Common Prayer.  By the grace of God, we continue to have a healthy balance of long-time generational members combined with those who are new to the Jacksonville community. Membership Coordinator | part time | 20 hours per week

The Membership Coordinator will manage the membership database and be responsible for updating all church membership records. This position will also facilitate membership transfers in and out, update the parish register books (baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and burials), and compile information for the annual parochial report.

Lay Ministry Coordinator | full time

The Lay Ministry Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the Sunday worship participants including recruitment, training, and scheduling of acolytes, chalice bearers, lectors, and ushers. This position will also help new and existing members find meaningful volunteer ministry opportunities at St. Mark's. Additional responsibilities include assisting with lay pastoral ministries and parish life activities.

Facilities Manager | full time

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for all physical properties (buildings, grounds, equipment, etc.) of the church according to standards established by the Rector and Vestry of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church through timely and appropriate planning, budgeting, and execution of routine and preventative maintenance efforts. Responsibilities include performing routine and preventative maintenance work, coordinating repairs with outside vendors, and updating property and maintenance records.
