The Rev. Canon Thomas P. Murray
Rector
Tom accepted the call to St. Mark’s in the summer of 2015. Previously he served as Director of Youth Ministry, Associate Rector and Rector at churches in North Carolina and South Carolina. He received his BA in Psychology from North Carolina State in 1992, and his Master of Divinity from Sewanee in 1999. He was ordained into the priesthood in the Diocese of South Carolina on December 4, 1999. Tom believes that the purpose of the Church is to first bear witness to the grace of God in Jesus Christ and then equip parishioners for the work of ministry. He is married to Perrin Steele, also a native of Winston-Salem NC, and they have four children.

The Rev. William Stokes
Associate Rector
William grew up in Orange Park and was an active member at Grace Episcopal Church throughout his childhood and high school years. In 2016, he graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South where he studied both history and organ performance. After serving for a year as the assistant organist at Sewanee, he discerned a call into ordained ministry and attended seminary at Sewanee as well. As part of his seminary education, William had the opportunity to study at the University of Cambridge in England and participate in field education at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama. William, ordained to the priesthood in October 2020, began his ministry in the Diocese of Florida and serves as the Associate Rector at St. Mark's where he oversees pastoral care, children's and youth ministries and also assists in coordinating the parish's Christian formation opportunities.

The Rev. Canon Dr. Douglas Dupree
Pastoral Associate
After completing his Doctor of Philosophy at Oxford University in 1987, Douglas worked as Chaplain and then as Dean of Balliol College in Oxford for approximately 30 years. In 2015, he joined the Episcopal Diocese of Florida as Rector of the Bishop’s Institute for Ministry and Leadership, Canon Theologian, and as a member of the Bishop’s staff. Douglas assists St. Mark’s in pastoral care, adult Christian Formation and Sunday worship. He is impressed by the number of people who contribute actively to the work of St. Mark’s and by the vitality and warmth of the church fellowship as a whole.

The Rev. Lila Byrd Brown
Assisting Priest
A Jacksonville native, Lila was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark’s. After graduating from Virginia Theological Seminary with support from St. Mark’s, she was ordained into the priesthood in 1996 and served at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tallahassee, Fla. Following her time in Tallahassee, Lila worked as Interim Associate for St. Mark’s and was later called to become Canon for Ministry Development for the Episcopal Diocese of Florida. She has served under several different Rectors at St. Mark’s, and now assists part-time with worship. In her spare time, she loves photography, travel and trying to outsmart her Cat, Sneakers.
