St. Marks Episcopal - Jacksonville, FL

Welcome

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is a community of faith anchored in traditional Anglican theology and liturgy as set forth in the Book of Common Prayer.  Founded in 1922, St. Mark’s is one of the largest churches in the Diocese of Florida.  Known to many in the Jacksonville community because of the nearly fifty-year-old Day School (age 1 through 6th grade), this neighborhood church maintains a healthy balance of long-time generational members combined with those who are new to the Jacksonville community.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here.  We hope you find our congregation to be warm and hospitable, and that by visiting us you’ll feel drawn more closely toward the grace and love of God as revealed in Jesus Christ our Savior.  Welcome!

The Rev. Thomas P. Murray
Seventh Rector of St. Mark’s

Epiphany Concert Series

Wednesdays the chapel
11:30 a.m.

The last Epiphany mini concert on Feb. 27 features the RareSong Chamber Ensemble, a 7-member early-music group that performs in historical costumes. It will be based on Banchieri’s madrigal comedy Festino, a late-sixteenth-century work that was written to be performed on Fat Tuesday (which is the Tuesday following this concert). It is a very accessible comedy including lovely madrigals, songs and depictions of Carnival.
