“Whose Image Defines You?” - 10am Traditional Eucharist

Oct 18, 2026  •  The Rev. Charlie Holt

This sermon teaches that our true identity, worth, and significance should not be defined by political affiliations, cultural divisions, religious labels, or the opinions of others, but by the truth that we are created in God's image and belong to Him. Drawing from Matthew 22 and Jesus’ instruction to give Caesar what belongs to Caesar and God what belongs to God, it reveals that just as a coin bears the emperor's image, every human being bears God's image and is therefore called to give their entire life back to Him. Ultimately, the sermon challenges believers to find their identity and security in Jesus Christ, resist the pressures of worldly expectations, and surrender their hearts, minds, bodies, and souls completely to God, living with the freedom and integrity that come from knowing whose they are.
